The Design & Transition Specialist Senior qualifies, designs, and transitions complex Hardware and Software deals domestically and internationally. This role focuses on GTS services in the presales phase (campaign, RFI, RFP, etc.), involving all relevant Internal Service Providers (ISPs). The specialist creates transition approaches and project plans based on the required end-state. They act as a lead for complex GTS deals, ensuring the timely delivery of all ISPs to transition new customers or contracts into CC delivery teams. The role involves designing and transitioning workstreams to establish systems, processes, roles, and responsibilities to support and deliver contracted requirements.


What you'll do

1. Support of Sales and Service Management (approx. 10%)
* Advise sales colleagues and customers on the capabilities and benefits of Technology Sourcing's service portfolio.
* Develop new services and collaborate on innovation projects.
* Share knowledge nationally and internationally to enhance service design skills.
* Participate in proposal presentations and present services to clients.
1. Design (approx. 40%)
* Assess and qualify complex customer opportunities.
* Analyze customer and technological requirements based on tender documents.
* Develop efficient, end-to-end solution designs fulfilling customer needs.
* Communicate with all relevant contacts, including management and service providers.
* Coordinate internal departments and external providers, including cost inquiries.
* Conduct solution reviews for management approval and ensure timely completion of assessments.
* Evaluate risks and opportunities, including mitigation measures.
* Build transition plans with timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
2. Transition (approx. 50%)
* Prepare documentation and handover service design packages to the transition team.
* Manage delivery of complex transition and transformation projects within scope, quality, and budget.
* Engage with customers, communicate progress, and oversee governance.
* Identify cost drivers and optimize costs.
* Report regularly on project status and manage internal teams and subcontractors.
* Contribute to the development of transition and project management methods.


Minimum requirements

* At least 5 years' experience in IT services or similar, with presales and bid management experience.
* Ability to translate client strategies into solution designs.
* Self-motivated, committed, and able to work under pressure.
* Customer-focused with strong engagement skills.
* Proven experience in building virtual teams for large complex deals.
* Excellent communication, moderation, and negotiation skills.
* Project management experience with relevant certification.
* Proficiency in MS-365 and Visio.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
* Effective time management.
* Fluent in the operating country language and English.
* Willingness to travel.


Desirable qualifications

* Knowledge of French or German.
* Relevant vocational or university qualification.
* Prince2 Practitioner, ITIL Foundation, or similar certifications.
* Experience with MS Project, sales, and service management.
* Basic knowledge of logistical processes and technical areas like Networking, Data Centers, and Software.
