Associate: Construction & Engineering Disputes | London | 3+ PQE
Join One of London's Leading Construction & Engineering Disputes Practices
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Construction & Engineering lawyer to join a highly regarded London-based disputes team advising on some of the most significant and complex projects across the UK and internationally.
The team is experiencing sustained growth and an increasing volume of high-value instructions, creating an opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to play a key role in its continued expansion.
This position offers exposure to major infrastructure, transport, energy, industrial engineering, building safety and development projects, acting for clients across the full project lifecycle. The role combines front-end project advisory work with high-value contentious matters, providing exceptional breadth of experience and career development.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with leading construction disputes specialists, advising clients on live project issues, dispute avoidance strategies and formal dispute resolution proceedings.
The practice acts on a wide range of complex matters including:
• Adjudication proceedings
• Technology & Construction Court (TCC) litigation
• Domestic and international arbitration
• Mediation and alternative dispute resolution
• Delay and disruption claims
• Extensions of time
• Liquidated damages disputes
• Defects and professional negligence matters
• Variations and additional cost claims
• Building safety and remediation issues
The team's client base spans developers, contractors, consultants, funders, investors, public sector bodies and major corporate organisations involved in some of the market's most significant projects.
Genuine Responsibility from Day One
This is not a role where you will sit several layers removed from clients or key decisions.
You will be given early responsibility, meaningful client contact and the opportunity to take ownership of substantial workstreams while being supported by experienced partners and senior lawyers.
You can expect to:
• Play a leading role on key matters appropriate to your level of experience
• Work directly with clients and project stakeholders
• Draft and manage adjudication, litigation and arbitration documentation
• Assist with witness and expert evidence preparation
• Manage complex disclosure and document review exercises
• Support business development initiatives and client pitches
• Mentor and supervise trainees and junior team members
The team operates in a genuinely collaborative environment where lawyers are encouraged to contribute beyond their immediate casework and play an active role in the growth of the practice.

• Strong document management and disclosure experience on large and complex matters
• Experience supporting the preparation of witness and expert evidence
