We are working with a well-regarded and forward-thinking secondary school in the Redbridge, that is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their dedicated team on a supply basis.
The school offers a supportive environment, strong departmental collaboration, and excellent resources to help you deliver high-quality teaching and achieve strong outcomes for students.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Leading Computer Science teaching across KS3 and KS4
2. Delivering the KS3 Computer Science curriculum for Years 7–9
3. Teaching GCSE Computer Science (OCR) for Year 10
4. Delivering Cambridge Nationals in IT (OCR) for Years 10–11
5. Planning and delivering engaging lessons with clear learning objectives
6. Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback
7. Working collaboratively with the department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
You’ll need:
8. Strong knowledge of Python programming, including practical project work
9. Experience using augmented reality tools, especially platforms like Assemblr
10. Confident delivery of OCR content at both GCSE and Cambridge Nationals level
11. An engaging and approachable teaching style that keeps students motivated
12. Strong classroom management and communication skills
13. A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
