A NERS-accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP) specialising in the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure connections across the UK. The company is expanding its capability in 33kV and 132kV grid connections, renewable generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Industrial & Commercial (I&C) projects, and is now strengthening its commercial team to support this growth.

Role Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager with proven experience in the ICP or wider energy infrastructure sector. This person will play a key role in expanding the company’s portfolio of high-voltage renewable, BESS, and I&C connection projects, while maintaining and developing a strong network of clients and developers.

This role suits someone with strong technical awareness of HV connections who can identify opportunities and convert them into long-term commercial wins.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement strategic growth plans focused on 33kV and 132kV connections, renewable generation, BESS, and I&C infrastructure.
* Identify, target, and secure new clients and projects across the UK, driving revenue growth.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, and end clients.
* Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand presence and gain market insight.
* Prepare tailored presentations, proposals, and capability documents aligned to client needs.
* Provide regular pipeline, progress, and forecasting updates to the Commercial Director.
* Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture and support the continuous growth of the business.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications

* 3+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or a commercial role within the ICP, HV connections, renewables, grid, or energy infrastructure sector.
* Proven track record of securing new business, meeting revenue targets, and building long-term client relationships.
* Strong understanding of HV connections (11kV–132kV), renewable and BESS projects, or I&C infrastructure delivery.
