Production Engineer

What You’ll Do
* Design and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling to streamline production.
* Lead engineering projects, troubleshoot equipment, and manage 3D‑printing capabilities.
* Produce technical drawings and 3D CAD models for both standard and custom products.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including R&D, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing—to solve complex production challenges.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost quality, productivity, and profitability.
* Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, ensure operational uptime, and support safety compliance.
What You Bring
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in production engineering.
* Strong hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Solid experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) and technical drawings.
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality management processes.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Adaptable, proactive, and solution‑focused with a drive for continuous improvement.
Bonus Skills
* Experience with scientific equipment or glassworking is a plus but not essential.
* Current UK driving licence and ability to visit suppliers occasionally.
