What We Are Looking For

At OMNIA Training, we’ve brought together some of the UK’s most innovative defence training organisations into a single consortium to deliver one powerful mission: to transform the British Army’s training system and create the best‑trained Army in the world.

OMNIA Training will redefine the British Army’s collective training, standing up as the Army’s Strategic Training Partner. To do that, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK. We are backed by British innovation and powered by world‑class experts, like you.

OMNIA Training is primed by Raytheon UK, but all five partners (Raytheon, Rheinmetall, Capita, Skyral and Cervus) are key to delivering the scope of the contract. Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) is entrusted with the Training Delivery aspect of the contract, and this role will be fundamental in enabling this as part of a Rheinmetall Programme team.

This is more than a job – it’s a mission. You will be part of a high‑impact, collaborative environment, where we expect everyone to live the values and standards of the British Army. Every person on our team plays a critical role in delivering OMNIA Training’s vision: designing, delivering and transforming collective training so the British Army is ready to fight and win.

The Role

The role is the Subcontract Lead, responsible for leading the subcontract and supply chain aspects of the CTTP programme delivery on behalf of REUK. The Subcontract Lead will manage all aspects of the supply chain lifecycle for the REUK subcontracted aspects and build and maintain strong relationships with the supply chain to achieve cost, schedule and performance objectives.

Responsibilities & Tasks

* Evaluate subcontractor proposals for technical, cost and schedule compliance
* Lead negotiations with regards to contract (using customer flow‑down as appropriate), price and schedule
* Monitor subcontractor delivery performance against agreed monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Solve multiple and often complex problems with the supply chain
* Drive improvements in processes, systems and products to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
* Review, monitor and communicate subcontractor financial stability, identify risks and points of further analysis
* Review and approve invoices
* Identify cost saving opportunities
* Manage supply chain NDAs and coach team members on supply chain considerations
* Ensure exports are managed appropriately, in line with End User Certificates, ITAR/TAA regulation

Skills

Advanced knowledge of subcontract management, supplier engagement and contract execution.

* Strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to operate independently and influence across disciplines
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience of working in a complex defence environment
* Supplier relationship and performance management skills
* MCIPS and/or Project Management qualifications desirable
* Experience of dealing with export obligations

Personal Attributes

We are looking for individuals who want to deliver. Your mission focus and enthusiasm will drive you to get things done. You’ll work collaboratively – with your colleagues, the Omnia Partners, other defence training organisations and the British Army – and you won’t let bureaucracy get in the way. You’ll learn lessons and share them across the team. While a military background is not required, you will understand what it means to serve and to put the mission first.
