Intermediate Electrical Engineer

A well-established, Manchester-based building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to support continued growth across a strong and diverse project pipeline.
This role is ideal for an engineer looking to build on solid consultancy experience, develop technically and progress towards senior level within a supportive, people-focused environment.

Their portfolio spans commercial, residential and hotel developments, working closely with developers, architects and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communications systems
Produce and coordinate electrical drawings, specifications and calculations under senior guidance
Support feasibility studies, cost analysis and technical assessments
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers and other disciplines
Support senior engineers in delivering projects through all design stages
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
Attend site inspections, testing and commissioning activities as required
Contribute to energy efficiency, sustainability and low-carbon design strategies
Support project delivery including programme and coordination tasks
Actively work towards Incorporated Engineer status
Participate in CPD activities, Lunch & Learns and ongoing professional development
About You
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Typically 2-5 years experience within a building services consultancy
Experience contributing to projects from concept through to construction
Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM experience beneficial but not essential)
Good communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Motivated to develop technically and progress within a consultancy environment
