Vickerstock are working in partnership with an established manufacturing organisation on the appointment of a QHSE Officer.
As a QHSE Officer, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the company's Integrated Management Systems, ensuring compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
In your new role:
1. Coordinate and maintain compliance across ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BRCGS, and other relevant certifications
2. Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of legal and regulatory requirements related to quality, health, safety and environmental systems
3. Act as a key representative during internal and external audits, inspections and customer reviews
4. Draft, review and distribute QHSE procedures, instructions and IMS documentation, ensuring updates are effectively rolled out across the organisation
5. Conduct internal audits, inspections and compliance reviews, following up on corrective and preventive actions as required
6. Maintain oversight of document control, records management, and calibration of inspection and testing equipment
7. Support the analysis of customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions
8. Assist with the preparation of risk assessments, training materials and QHSE awareness initiatives to strengthen knowledge across the workforce
9. Promote positive QHSE communication internally and externally, raising staff awareness and supporting best practice initiatives
10. Prepare reports, statistics and KPI updates, highlighting compliance status and areas for improvement to management
What you will need to succeed:
11. 2+ years' experience in a QHSE, compliance or similar role within a manufacturing environment
12. NEBOSH General Certificate
13. Knowledge of ISO management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, FSC, BRC) and audit processes
14. Communication and influencing skills, ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
15. Organisational, analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise under pressure
16. IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
17. Experience in developing and delivering training programmes
18. Familiarity with digital compliance platforms
19. Other relevant Health & Safety certifications
