We’re on the lookout for a Customer Service Representative to join our team at Mutty Paws Academy!
Core Responsibilities
Your role will be dynamic and engaging, with responsibilities that include:
* Guiding prospective clients and visitors on tours of our facility.
* Answering phone calls and providing information according to established procedures.
* Welcoming clients and ensuring pet guests have up-to-date vaccination records.
* Managing cash transactions, including accepting payments and balancing the cash drawer at the end of the day.
* Explaining company policies to customers in a friendly and positive manner.
* Addressing customer complaints professionally and resolving issues effectively.
* Escorting pet guests to and from their enclosures.
* Operating the Point-of-Sale system efficiently.
* Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the lobby and public areas.
* Completing required training and attending sessions as needed.
* Treating customers, guests, and co-workers with professionalism and courtesy.
* Assisting fellow associates as needed.
* Supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet.
* Promoting our services and products to prospective customers.
Requirements
Expertise & Experience:
* High School Graduate or Equivalent.
* At least 1 year of experience in customer service or retail sales.
* A knack for resolving problems quickly and professionally.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Customer service experience is a plus!
* Excellent telephone skills.
* Ability to use a multi-line phone system and work on a computer.
* Professional demeanor at all times.
Physical Requirements:
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
* Comfortable standing, walking, and climbing stairs regularly.
* Ability to handle dogs on leashes.
* Willingness to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectants, animal dander, and excretions.
Working Conditions
Reports To: General Manager
Pay: $16.50/hour, depending on experience.
