The Network Manager will lead, inspire, and motivate the network management teams to deliver a safe, efficient, and high-quality service to our client. This role will drive operational excellence, support growth and profitability, and promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer focus across the division.
Working closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager, the Network Manager will provide strong leadership, ensuring teams are engaged, empowered, and aligned under a shared vision of service excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Area Teams to deliver highways services safely, efficiently, and profitably, fostering a strong “one team” culture.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, leading by example and embedding a positive H&S culture.
* Drive continuous performance improvement, efficiency, and innovation, promoting best practice across operations.
* Take responsibility for divisional P&L, ensuring accurate cost control, timely reporting, and strong financial performance.
* Monitor fleet, resources, and productivity to ensure effective and efficient utilisation across the division.
* Build and maintain excellent client and stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted ambassador for Ringway.
* Provide senior leadership during major incidents as part of the ‘Silver Command’ rota.
Person Specification
* Experience in highways maintenance or a related operational field.
* Proven leadership experience managing diverse, multi-site teams.
* Strong track record of building, developing, and engaging teams across all levels of the workforce.
* Experience of implementing and managing change within a fast-moving environment.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
* Commercial acumen with experience of budget management and delivering against financial targets.
* Demonstrable commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practice.
