Teaching Personnel is working closely with a well-regarded secondary school in Harrow to recruit a dedicated and qualified Cover Teacher. This role is ideal for a QTS-qualified teacher who enjoys variety and flexibility, and who thrives in a classroom environment without the long-term planning and marking responsibilities of a full-time class teacher. You will step into lessons across different subjects, maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups (KS3–KS4)
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom management in line with school policies
• Support student engagement and ensure continuity of learning
• Provide brief feedback to subject teachers after lessons
• Build positive relationships with staff and students, adapting quickly to new classrooms
Requirements
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
• Strong classroom management skills and a confident teaching presence
• Ability to teach across multiple subjects where needed
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive attitude
• Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
