SEN Teacher Swindon, SN2 September Full Time Pay : £31,650 - £49,084 I am looking for a committed and experienced SEN Teacher to join the SEN department of a secondary school, based in Swindon. There is a clear emphasis on academic ambition as well as a nurturing ethos within the pastoral part of the school. In the school, there is a drive for academic ambition and supporting students to reach their full potential regardless of additional needs. The opportunity is September start and a Full Time position. You will be working with students in a smaller classroom, separated from the mainstream year group. All subjects apart from PE will be taught and you will have specialist teaching assistants supporting in the classroom depending on students' needs. You should have a solid knowledge of curriculum and take responsibility for the progress of development of students Responsibilities: Tailoring lessons and materials to meet individual needs. Providing support to students in their learning experience Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly Ensure classroom is safe and secure Create an engaging and inclusive environment Support positive behaviour and help students emotionally regulate. Requirements: QTS Strong communication and organisational skills Experience working in secondary schools Experience working with SEN students Effective classroom and behaviour management Understanding of safeguarding procedures. Planning and Marking of work Work collaboratively with the SEN department and wider staff.
