Position: Band 8 Senior Counselling Psychologist
Type: Full-time, Mid-Senior level
Job Summary
We are recruiting Band 8 Senior Counselling Psychologists for youth custody sites at Werrington, Wetherby, and potentially other sites, depending on post and funding availability. Candidates with appropriate qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a caseload of children in custody.
2. Establish agreements with universities for trainee placements.
3. Coordinate, manage, and supervise trainee psychologists.
4. Develop professional services and networks within YCS and HMPPS Psychology Service.
Qualifications and Experience
* HCPC Registration as a Counselling Psychologist.
* Chartered with BPS and eligible as a supervisor.
* Experience working with adolescents involved in offending is desirable.
