As an Administrator for the National Referral Centre (NRC), you will support the management of referrals and act as a key communication link between managers, teams, and external organisations.


Responsibilities

* Upload and support management of referrals coming into the referral centre.
* Act as a key communication link between managers, teams, and external organisations.
* Build strong working relationships across departments and with external partners.
* Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
* Organise events, training sessions, conferences and travel arrangements.
* Maintain efficient filing systems and accurate administrative records (electronic and paper).
* Monitor office supplies, process invoices and support financial administration tasks.
* Support team operations, including staff records, appraisals and absence tracking.
* Work flexibly, using your initiative to prioritise tasks and support colleagues when needed.


Qualifications and Experience

* NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Part I & II, ITQ2, CLAIT II or OCR (RSA) Level 3 in text/word processing, or demonstrable work experience.
* Willingness and ability to undertake occasional travel to other NHSBT sites and external venues, staying overnight if necessary (with appropriate prior notice).
* Experienced in running bring-forward systems and chasing progress on actions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
* Experience of working in a busy office environment, using office equipment, handling conflicting deadlines and priorities.
* Experienced in undertaking research and preparing clear and concise reports, analysis and recommendations from the results.
* Experienced in producing meeting agendas and minute taking.

Work Hours and Location

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, working full time (37.5 hours per week) over 7 days – covering from 8 am to 8 pm. Occasional weekend working will be required.
