The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Nottingham, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys lower Key Stage 2 and is passionate about helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the curriculum, helping pupils transition successfully from KS1 to KS2. You will foster confidence, resilience, and independence while ensuring pupils achieve strong academic progress. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress to ensure academic growth Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN Promote positive behaviour and high expectations Create a well-structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues across KS2 Communicate effectively with parents and carers Contribute to staff meetings, planning, and school initiatives Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Have recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 3 Be enthusiastic, organised, and reflective in practice Have strong classroom management and planning skills Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing The school is located in Nottingham, with excellent transport links and a friendly, supportive community.
