At Better Bicycles, we’re reinventing the folding bike for modern city life — a bike that folds as fast as an umbrella, is half the thickness of a Brompton, and rolls like luggage. Our goal is simple: make cycling the default mode of urban transport through elegant engineering and design.
We’ve secured over £400k in UK government grants, developed 16 prototypes, and built a community of 3,000+ riders signed up for test rides. Now we’re ready to launch — and we’re looking for a co-founder to lead our marketing and growth.
The Role
We’re seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (Co-Founder) to own storytelling, growth, and brand strategy — transforming a breakthrough concept into a movement.
You’ll work alongside the founder (PhD mechanical engineer, who led research with Airbus and Rolls-Royce) to launch our pre-order and crowdfunding campaigns, drive brand awareness, and build investor excitement.
What You’ll Do
* Lead Marketing & Growth: Own the pre-order and crowdfunding campaigns, building excitement and trust.
* Build the Brand: Translate technical excellence into a lifestyle people want to be part of.
* Own Digital: Manage CRM, paid ads, analytics, and funnels (Mailchimp, Meta Ads, Google).
* Create & Inspire: Produce or direct compelling video, photo, and written content — using tools like Midjourney, Runway, and GPT.
* PR & Partnerships: Lead outreach to media, influencers, and partner brands.
* Shape the Movement: Build a loyal following that believes in cleaner, freer, more human cities.
Who You Are
✅ Experienced in marketing, mobility, cycling, or sustainable lifestyle sectors.
✅ Proven track record growing startups or campaigns from the ground up.
✅ Deep knowledge of digital marketing, analytics, and storytelling.
✅ Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-paced execution, and hands-on work.
✅ Passionate about building a company that changes how cities move.

⭐ Prior Kickstarter / Indiegogo success.
⭐ Influencer or strong content creator in cycling/sustainability.
⭐ Press or PR background with media relationships.
⭐ Experience scaling D2C hardware or lifestyle brands.
⭐ Proficiency with AI creative tools (Midjourney, Runway, LoRAs).
