A fantastic school in Newbury are looking for a Graduate (Criminology or Psychology would be relevant!) to work as a Learning Support Assistant from Monday to Friday, to start in September. The school caters for pupils who have a range of social and emotional difficulties, as well as challenging behaviours and low self-esteem. You will play a significant role to ensure the students make positive choices, helping to guide their behaviour and increase their engagement in and outside the classroom.
In this Learning Support role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide array of needs, including anxiety, social withdrawal, anger issues, trauma, grief and social difficulties. The school are therefore looking for an empathetic individual who is interested in helping others, is ready for a challenge and has an interest in SEMH difficulties.
