Job Title: Office Administrator
Location: Flamstead, Hertfordshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic administrator to join our growing team. This is a varied and fast‑paced role that will involve supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the business, ensuring all administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of organisation, communication, and customer service across the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out a wide range of administrative duties including filing, scanning, data entry, and document management
* Answering incoming telephone calls, taking messages, and directing enquiries to the appropriate team members
* Managing incoming and outgoing emails in a professional and timely manner
* Preparing and formatting documents, reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence
* Maintaining and updating internal databases and systems with accurate information
* Assisting with order processing, invoicing, and general office administration tasks
* Supporting management and colleagues with ad hoc administrative duties as required
* Ensuring all records are kept up to date and comply with company procedures
* Liaising with customers, suppliers, and external contacts in a professional manner
* Helping to improve administrative processes and suggesting efficiencies where appropriate
Requirements
* Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable but not essential
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer systems
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Must have own transport and a full, valid driving licence due to location or occasional travel requirements
