York Health Service is looking for a reliable and motivated All Purpose Orderly to join our supportive team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with patient handling and transport to support the day to day running of the hospital. A full time position is available however part time/job share and casual appointments may also be considered.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
About the OPPORTUNITY
This position performs the daily work schedules as designated by HSM and in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures, assists nursing and care staff with any patient care that require orderly assistance, and provides transport service to community and residents as directed by Home Support Coordinator or HSM.
Essential Work Related Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
1. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and basic literacy skills
2. An ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
3. Good organisational and time management skills
4. Be physically able to carry out duties
5. Current C or C-A class driver’s licence
