Prospero Teaching are working with large secondary schools in St Helens who are seeking a History Teacher to work in their schools on a supply basis from September 2024.
You will plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging & that will stretch the classes in key stage 3 & 4. You will be required to become fully immersed in school, attending departmental meetings, parents’ evenings etc and posses strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students and build a rapport quickly.

2. Position: History teacher
3. Start date: September 2024
4. Minimum rate of pay: in line with your main pay scale
5. Hours: 8:15 am-4:00 pm (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
6. Qualified Teacher of History
7. Up to date knowledge of the National Curriculum
8. Teacher of History at key stage 3 and 4
9. Hold a valid & recognised teaching qualification
10. Recent safeguarding training within the last 12 months
11. Recent prevent training within the last 12 months
You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply basis, the role is open to ECT’s and more experienced teachers. You will be required to commit to the role in it’s entirety.

12. Hold Right to Work in the UK.
13. Possess an enhanced child barred list. DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
14. Provide a minimum of two professional child related references covering the last 2 years
