Locum Clinical Psychologist Band 7 – Band 8b | Locum Contract
We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7–8b) to join a specialist service on a locum basis, supporting adults with complex neurological and psychological needs within a rehabilitation setting.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care. The service provides specialist support to individuals with acquired brain injury and complex presentations, focusing on rehabilitation, recovery, and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver specialist psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, and emotional functioning
Develop formulation-driven care plans and provide evidence-based psychological interventions
Work collaboratively within an MDT, contributing to care planning and clinical decision-making
Provide psychological consultation and guidance to the wider team
Support risk assessment, management, and safeguarding processes
Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and documentation
Contribute to service development, audit, and outcome monitoring
Requirements
HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
Experience working with neurological conditions, brain injury, or complex mental health presentations
Strong skills in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work autonomously within a structured clinical framework
