About the role

* Our Skilled Baker rate of pay starts from £13.38 an hour; this increases to £14.59 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
* It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but there are opportunities to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) if desired.
* We schedule contracted hours within the stated availability, with 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. We are flexible if your availability is similar but not exact to the advertised times.

You will be responsible for
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
* Baking in waves for scratch products so customers receive fresh products throughout the day, minimising waste and ensuring yield is being adhered to for great quality.
* Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
* Adhering to all food hygiene, safety and allergen guidelines at all times.
* Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the department and store.
* Putting into practice the training you have received, so the team works safely, effectively and serves customers brilliantly.
* Proactively checking emergency stop buttons and machinery safety before operation, reporting next steps to the Shift Leader/Team Manager.
* Disposing of waste responsibly, including following food waste and recycling routines.
* Understanding store performance and your role in driving service, sales, waste reduction, shrink, and profit.

* Working across store areas such as service, picking and replenishment where required.
