Salary: Up to GBP15 per hour (potential for overtime over 40 hours)
Linsco are delighted to supporting a new client, a fast-growing, dynamic company who speciliase in high-quality fabrication and metal work on a range of projects. They specialise in balustrades, staircases and balconies, from design to fabrication to fitting and with a number of decades industry experience, they are proud to be known for precision, performance, and delivering the highest standards on every project.
They are currently looking for experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their team in the Cheshire area. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking business at a key stage of growth, with real potential for long-term career progression.
Responsibilities
* Perform MMA/MIG welding to a high standard on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in all welds.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
* Travel to client sites UK wide to carry out site installation and welding tasks.
* Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
* Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
* Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Requirements
* Proven experience in welding, particularly with MIG/TIG and MMA methods.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
* Experience with balustrades.
* Mechanical knowledge is essential for effective problem-solving on the job.
* Hold full UK driving licence
* Basic maths skills are required for accurate measurements and calculations.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks performed.
