Deputy Manager - Domiciliary Care Location: Carlisle Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a high-quality domiciliary care service across Cumbria. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a strong presence in both operational management and frontline service delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring the service remains safe, compliant, and person-centred, while supporting the growth and development of the care team. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Care Coordinator or Deputy Manager ready to step into a more autonomous leadership position within a growing care provider. Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager with the overall operational running of the domiciliary care service Lead on staff supervision, appraisals, spot checks, and performance management Oversee rota planning, capacity management, and care package allocation Ensure all care delivery is safe, person-centred, and meets CQC standards Conduct client assessments, care planning, and regular care reviews Manage safeguarding concerns and support incident reporting and investigations Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of care staff Maintain strong communication with service users, families, and external professionals Monitor service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement processes Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in domiciliary care at senior or deputy level Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks Confident managing care teams and coordinating complex rotas Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure Skilled in communication with families, staff, and external agencies NVQ Level 3 or above (Level 5 Leadership & Management desirable) Full UK driving licence required What's on Offer Salary up to £34,000 per annum Career progression opportunities within a growing service Supportive senior management structure Training and development including Level 5 qualifications Opportunity to make a real impact in a community-based care service
