The Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join the delivery team on a major live-environment healthcare project. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of MEP construction activities. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the on-site installation team, including subcontractors
* Ensure all works meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
* Oversee construction planning, logistics, and resource coordination
* Support design, engineering, and procurement handovers into construction
* Monitor progress, productivity, and performance against programme
* Drive best practice, continuous improvement, and a positive site culture
* Support commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities
* Build strong relationships with project stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven experience managing construction delivery on large MEP or complex building services projects
* Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and live-environment working
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with confidence to challenge and improve processes
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
* Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering a positive site experience
* Relevant construction qualifications (NVQ, HNC/HND, SMSTS, CSCS/ECS, or equivalent)
