Housing Triage Officer\n Hillingdon\n Full Time\n Temporary Join a well-established Housing Association in Hillingdon as a Housing Triage Officer and play a key role in preventing homelessness and supporting vulnerable individuals in need of housing assistance. THE ROLE\n We are currently recruiting for a skilled Housing Triage Officer to join a busy Housing Advice & Options service in Hillingdon. You will be responsible for triaging housing enquiries, carrying out assessments, and delivering advice and support to prevent homelessness in the community.\nProvide frontline triage assessments and housing advice at the reception desk\nCarry out thorough assessments of housing needs and risks\nDeliver effective homelessness prevention and relief support in line with legislation\nDevelop and implement Personalised Housing Plans for clients\nMaintain accurate and confidential case records in line with policy\nLiaise with external agencies including local authorities and support services\nOffer continued advice and support to those in temporary accommodationTHE CANDIDATE\n The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar Housing Options or Homelessness Prevention role, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and strong customer service skills.\nKnowledge of the Housing Act 1996 (Part VII) and Homelessness Reduction Act\nExperience in triage, homelessness enquiries, and drafting s184 decision letters\nAbility to manage a busy caseload and meet service deadlines\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal\nExperience working with vulnerable individuals and delivering services under pressureTHE CONTRACT\n WORKING HOURS: Full Time, 36 Hours\n LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3 Month Contract, Temp with potential for extension\n RATE: The pay for the role is £24.00 per hour LTD company rate.
The PAYE equivalent is £20.59 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
