As the sales of our disabled access platform lifts continue to grow, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee Lift Installation Team Leader.
This position will initially involve assisting an experienced engineer in installing our lifts, with the intention of the successful candidate ultimately becoming the team leader of a lift installation pair.
The role will involve the following:
* Learning to install the Dalby disabled access platform lifts
* Travelling to the installation location
* Working and lodging away from home for up to 5 days at a time.
* Managing one other team member after completing the training period.
* Installation, commissioning and testing of lifts after completing the training period

* Respectful - you must be self-aware and respect that you may be working in care homes, hotels or schools.

* Initiative - you must be keen to learn, prepared to try new things and a good problem solver
Hardworking - you must be willing to work away from home and be motivated to provide an excellent customer service
Skills and Experience
* No specific experience of platform lifts is necessary as this is initially a trainee position, but experience of assembly or construction in a factory or construction site environment is required.
* Experience in the use of general battery and hand tools
* Experience of sheet metal assembly or electrical assembly would be desirable but not mandatory
* Ability to read engineering or architectural drawings would be desirable but not mandatory.
* Full driving licence
Location
* You should be based in or around Leicester, though the role will involve collecting your team member and traveling to the installation locations.
Salary
* Whilst training the hourly rate will be £14.50 hr + overtime at time and a half. Training is expected to take 3-6 months dependent on the skill level of the candidate.
* After completing you training the hourly rate will be £16/hr + overtime at time and a half
* Food and lodging expenses whilst working away
Tools and equipment
* After completing the training period, you will be provided with a company van. During the training period transport to site will be provided.
* Specialist tools and power tools will be provided, but you will supply your own hand tools such as spanners, screwdrivers etc.
