Civil Enforcement Officer
Salary: £25,989 to £33,699 per annum depending on experience.
Location: Hastings, East Sussex
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time / Weekends
Hours: 37 hours per week on a shift basis (shifts vary but will include weekends).
Responsibilities
* Undertake patrols across the town, including in off‑street car parks.
* Play a significant role in reducing environmental crime and anti‑social behaviour.
* Help ensure the town remains a beautiful place to visit and enjoy.
* Work in close partnership with other agencies, including the Police, other council departments, and the local community.
* Support the achievement of Community Safety Accreditation through Sussex Police and work towards maintaining this status.
Qualifications
* Experience working with the public.
* Some form of enforcement experience is an advantage; full training will be offered to the right person.
* Full clean driving licence required.
* Eligible for the Level 4 Anti‑social Behaviour and Community Safety Officer apprenticeship after the probation period (24‑month, sector‑specific program).
* Appointment on the salary scale is dependent on previous experience.
