About the role
As a paid, full-time, degree apprenticeship in Electro-Mechanical Engineering within our Energy team, you will support multi-disciplinary services to deliver a net-zero future. You will work on projects across power generation assets from conventional to renewable. You will start your Degree Apprenticeship in September 2026 at the University of Nottingham with block placements and work toward an undergraduate degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. You will have the opportunity to become registered with a relevant professional institution. The apprenticeship includes blended learning with training, mentoring, and on-the-job experience.
The Apprenticeship
You will start your Degree Apprenticeship in September 2026, attending the University of Nottingham for block placement, and working towards achieving a full undergraduate degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. You will also have the opportunity to become registered with a relevant professional institution. The apprenticeship supports career growth through blended learning. It offers business and role-specific training, networking, mentoring, and practical experience. It includes an induction, training days, online content, on-the-job learning, and on-demand resources. Typically, the Degree Apprenticeship takes between 5-6 years to complete (including End Point Assessment in England). We also have a Professional Growth Network (PGN).
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…
* 5 GCSE’s Grade C/Level 5 or above (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science.
* Achieved or predicted A Level grades BBB (or equivalent), including Maths at A Level, are required.
* OR achieved or predicted a BTEC Extended Diploma (Level 3) with grades DDM in an engineering-related subject, including a further Maths component.
