Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants Location: Dorchester and surrounding areas Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day, short-term, and potential long-term placements Salary: £85–£95 per day (dependent on experience) Overview Teaching Personnel is recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in Dorchester. Local schools are seeking patient, confident, and adaptable staff who can work across a range of settings, providing day-to-day cover as well as support for longer-term roles when required. Role Responsibilities • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning and behaviour strategies • Promote positive engagement, independence, and emotional regulation • Support with EHCP-linked interventions and individual learning plans • Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies Requirements • Previous SEN experience (school or care-based) • Strong communication skills and a calm, resilient approach • Ability to support pupils with varied additional needs • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) • Flexibility for day-to-day and short-notice bookings What We Offer • £85–£95 daily pay • Regular SEN-focused supply opportunities in Dorchester • Access to longer-term support roles where available • A dedicated consultant for ongoing guidance • CPD, including Autism Awareness, Behaviour Management, and Safeguarding How to Apply Send your CV and availability.
