About the role
The Credit Control Assistant will service all European and UK accounts, ensuring all Company payment terms are adhered to thus contributing to the profitability of the Company.
Key tasks and responsibilities include;
* Service accounts by chasing overdue monies via telephone and/or letter
* Liaise with Customer Services and sales representatives as necessary, to clear any queries quickly and effectively to ensure minimum delay on payment can be achieved.
* Process direct debits for all countries
* Place accounts on and off of hold as required
* Ensure credits and replacements are actioned promptly and correctly.
* Liaise with customer services, in the process of credits in line with Company guidelines
* Carry out credit references for prospective accounts.
* Carry out credit ratings (raise credit limits) – liaise with insurers where necessary.
* Contact customers when direct debit payments fail and inform insurers.
Initially based in the office for training, this team work on a hybrid basis comprising of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home. Each team members work from home days are the same each week and this would be agreed upon joining.

Your Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have/be;
* Good communication and telephone skills
* IT Literate
* Minimum of 1 year previous experience in Credit Control
Useful
* Knowledge of word and excel
* JDE Enterprise one
