Job Title: Finance Officer
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid working - 2 days in the office)
Salary: £29,000 – £34,000 per annum (pro rata, if part-time)
Contract Type: Full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days/week), contract for 6 months
We are excited to be partnering with a non-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh, that are going under a re-structuring and system implementation. The company ethos is something that filters down to everyone and people who work there describe it as a flexible, supportive and stimulating environment.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to support the team for 6 months in the first instance with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
* Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and funder reporting requirements.
* Maintain and improve financial policies, systems, and procedures.
Skills required:
* Proven experience in a finance or accounting role
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
* Understanding of UK charity accounting principles and regulations would be a plus.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or equivalent) would be an advantage
