Quantity surveyor

Job Description

We are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering complex projects across London. Due to continued workload in and around the capital, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in concrete structures and cut & carve construction.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of civil engineering works from pre-construction through to final account. Projects typically involve reinforced concrete frames, basements, and complex substructures delivered in live environments.

Key responsibilities include:

* Full commercial management of concrete and structural packages

* Cost planning, forecasting, and monthly CVRs

* Procurement and management of subcontractors

* Valuations, variations, and change control

* Supporting project teams with commercial and contractual advice

* Preparation and agreement of final accounts


Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or structures

* Strong background working with structures

* Good understanding of standard forms of contract (NEC and/or JCT)

* Strong communication and commercial awareness
