An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Band 8A Nuclear Medicine Clinical Scientist to join our friendly and dedicated team at St Bartholomew's Hospital.
The postholder will take a leading role in managing and organizing radiation safety compliance for the department. This is an excellent opportunity to develop clinical and management skills in a challenging but rewarding environment.
The Nuclear Medicine Department at Barts Health conducts over 10,000 imaging investigations annually across three sites, utilizing five gamma cameras and two PET CT cameras. It offers a comprehensive suite of in-vitro tests and provides a wide range of nuclear medicine therapy services. We are committed to delivering outstanding patient care and seek a clinical scientist who shares this vision.
The postholder will participate in and assist with providing high-standard scientific and technical services to Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT. Responsibilities include ensuring all activities comply with quality frameworks and regulatory requirements, managing radiation safety legislation and guidance, assisting with unsealed radionuclide therapy services, conducting quality assurance on imaging and radiation detection equipment, and supporting the commissioning of major imaging equipment.
