Boyatt Wood Surgery is looking for a dynamic nurse associate to join ourteam. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of nursing services and treatment room care.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the nursing and multidisciplinary team providing high standards of care to our patients
* Administration of routine childhood, adult and travel immunisations
* Cervical screening

Job responsibilities
The Nurse associate willwork as part of the primary healthcare team providing Personal Medical Servicesto the patients of the Practice.
Job Responsibilities: Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patientcare as directed by senior staff and GPs
Cytology
Removal of Sutures and clips
ECGs
Venepuncture
Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations and managing recall systems
Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to GPs as appropriate
Administer Injections like B12, Depo, Nebido, Clexane, Zoladex, Pneumonia,Shingles & Flu
Othertasks will include
Check GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required
Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
Ordering of Health Promotion Literature
Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels
Checking emergency equipment and fridge temp
Responsible for Drug Box, First aid box and oxygen.
Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records
A duty to advise senior staff of potential problems or errors within the rangeof assigned tasks
Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required.
On occasion there may be a requirement to undertake home visits
Attend any training as required and participate in Nurse Meetings, clinicalmeetings Practice Meeting.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* NMC registered
* Previous experience in primary care
Experience
* Min 1 year experience working in a nursing team
* Experience working in a GP surgery.
