A specialist SEN partner school in Sunderland is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026. Interviews will be taking place prior to the summer holidays for successful shortlisted candidates.
This specialist provision supports children and young people with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD and communication difficulties. The school is part of a respected trust known for its therapeutic and child-centred approach.
The Role:
* Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
* Supporting pupils with complex SEN needs
* Creating a nurturing and structured classroom environment
* Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and pastoral staff
* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Monitoring pupil progress against EHCP outcomes
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
* Experience working within SEN, SEMH or alternative provision desirable
* Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* Passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
* Resilient, patient and adaptable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
