Overview

In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you\'ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One you\'ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people. Right now, we\'re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join the team at our care home. This is a full-time position covering night shifts. As a Care Assistant under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will take responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents, assisting with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and meals. Delivering a level of care that truly comes from the heart and ensuring residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality. You may help someone with limited mobility to use an aid, offer emotional support to a distressed resident, or deliver care to someone at the end of life, always keeping their well-being in mind.

Safeguarding is everyone\'s responsibility; you should recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

Responsibilities

* Provide personal care support (washing, dressing, assistance with meals) and support residents with physical and emotional needs under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
* Deliver care with dignity and respect, promoting independence and individual preferences.
* Assist residents with activities and social engagement within the care home.
* Support residents with limited mobility to use aids and equipment as appropriate.
* Offer emotional support to residents who are distressed or confused and provide end-of-life care where required, prioritising well-being at all times.
* Recognise safeguarding concerns, know how to respond, and escalate when necessary; attend safeguarding training and undertake related development as required.
