Overview
In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. This is a full-time position covering night shifts. As a Care Assistant, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will take responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents, including assisting with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and meals. You will contribute to delivering care that respects each resident’s dignity and individuality, supporting those with limited mobility, providing emotional support, and delivering care at all stages of life according to needs and preferences.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as appropriate, including seeking advice and reporting concerns when actions are not taken.
