Health & Safety Advisor Location: Leeds Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Package Projects: Large-scale schemes valued between £50m – £150m We are working with a Tier 1 main contractor delivering complex, high-value construction projects across Yorkshire and the North. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to support site teams in maintaining exceptional safety standards across major schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated H&S professional looking to step into a regional role with long-term progression potential. Key Responsibilities: * Support the delivery of high health & safety standards across multiple large-scale construction sites. * Assist in the implementation of company-wide health & safety procedures and ensure adherence across site teams. * Conduct regular site inspections, reporting findings and providing guidance on corrective actions. * Help ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including CDM Regulations. * Review subcontractor method statements and risk assessments to ensure suitability and sufficiency. * Assist with incident investigations and contribute to close-out reports and preventative actions. * Ensure all operatives and subcontractors receive site-specific inductions. * Monitor permit-to-work systems and COSHH controls. * Ensure statutory signage and welfare facilities are in place and maintained. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date health & safety records and documentation. * Build strong working relationships with site teams to promote a positive safety culture. * Report directly to the Health & Safety Manager and support wider HSEQ team activities as required. Requirements: * NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum). * At least 2–4 years’ experience in a health & safety role within the construction industry. * Sound knowledge of HSE legislation and best practice. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Proactive and approachable attitude with a strong attention to detail.
