Position: Document Controller
Location: Talacre, North Wales (Site-Based)
Start Date: November 2025
Contract Length: 12+ Months (Long-Term Contract)
Working Hours: Approx. 50 hours/week, with flexibility for occasional Saturday mornings
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join the on-site team for a major energy infrastructure project based in North Wales. This role supports a high-profile Decommissioning and Carbon Capture initiative and will focus on managing technical documentation processes and ensuring compliance with project and client standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the transmission and tracking of technical documentation, such as engineering drawings and progress reports.
Maintain and oversee project document management systems, workflows, and templates in alignment with defined procedures.
Control the full document lifecycle, including submissions, approvals, revisions, and correct classification.
Assist with project organization, including logistics and supporting the Project Manager in risk and opportunity analysis.
Coordinate the final documentation handover and ensure knowledge transfer and best practices are preserved.
Deliver support and training on document management tools; provide help desk services to site and remote teams.
Compile and manage reporting tools such as document registers, master data lists, and progress reports.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience: 8–10 years in document control, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
Proven experience working on-site in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Energy, or Construction.
Solid understanding of the documentation needs of industrial projects.
Ability to interpret and manage various types of technical and engineering documents.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable with high-volume workloads and strict documentation control standards.
Additional Information:
This is a site-based role; candidates must be able to commute to or stay near Talacre, North Wales.
Flexibility is essential, particularly regarding working hours and occasional Saturday work.
Start date is November 2025 – candidates must be available from this time
