An exciting opportunity has arisen to support in Clinical and QualityGovernance in the Medicine Care Group at County Durham and Darlington NHSFoundation Trust, on a full time hours per week on an initial fixed termcontract of 6 Months.

The Quality and Governance Matron, using their knowledge of clinical andquality governance and experience, will support the Associate Director ofNursing & Care Group Triumvirate, to ensure the efficient and effective andco-ordinated governance of quality, patient safety, risk and incidentmanagement.
They will work closely with the Associate Director of Nursing, as wellas other key stakeholders to ensure measurable improvement within the MedicineCare Group and the Trust, and to ensure the Medicine Care Group meetsstatutory, regulatory and NHS requirements for safe and effective patient care.

Main duties of the job
The Care Group Quality and Governance Matron will be workingfor an incredibly vibrant and fast paced Care Group within CDDFT. They will beworking across 3 sites within CDDFT and will be required to provide and receivecomplex, sensitive and potentially contentious information in the area ofclinical governance.
The post-holder will be able to persuade, motivate and trainall key stakeholders and provide direct support in meeting and achievingexpectations of the Board in respsone to complaints, CQC enquires, PHSOenquires and support clinical teams produce reports in relation to patientsafety issues and consideration for Coroners requests.
Key lines of communication will be with theAssociate Director of Nursing for the Medicine Care Group, the SeniorTriumverate, General Managers, Matrons and Ward Managers. He/ she will alsoprovide direct line mangement and support to the Care Group Governance team intheir role in facilitating and providing administrative support to this role
