Feel Good Invites is a successful, modern wedding stationery company.
We have a vacancy for a design assistant to join our small team, with potential to grow into a key member of staff.
This role is for our busy period (Jan-April 2026) and then rolling into a 9 month maternity cover, followed by our next busy period (Jan-April 2027).
As this is 16 months there is the possibility that this role may become permanent.
Main Role:
Artworking customer's orders by following the supplied brief (using Indesign & Quark Xpress templates - which we can train you on).
Working with clients (via email) from initial enquiry through to sending finished artwork to print. Excellent customer service manner is required and attention to detail.
Creating print press ready PDF output files.
Liaising with print companies & suppliers.
Further roles on the day to day running of this small business including (but not limited to):
Compiling sample packs (folding, glueing, tying).
Answering customer's queries & quotation questions.
Possibly develop and Launch of new products.
The successful candidate should be:
Familiar with the design-for-print work flow, and aware of artwork specification / suitability for print production.
Able to follow detailed instructions, double checking, and have a high attention to detail.
Self-motivated, driven, able to manage own workload.
Have experience of working in a design for print job.
Organised and have a positive, can-do attitude
Proven track record as a talented designer with a strong portfolio - preferable wedding stationery designs within the portfolio.
Proficient with Apple Mac software.
Excellent Quark/Indesign skills
Photoshop skills
Keen eye for typography
Have a love of design
Useful Skills:
Sales experience
Good grasp of the English language / polite email manner
Ability to problem solve and think laterally.
Knowledge of Online Sales platforms (CMS).
Education:
A-levels or equivalent
Graphic Design degree, or skillset to a similar level would be ideal
Industry experience would be ideal
Duration:
16 months, may be shorter or longer depending on order volume. With a 4 month probationary period.
Hours:
37.5 Hours+ (8.30am-4.30pm)
Office based initially. Once fully trained working from home 2 days a week will be an option.
Hours may move in line with business seasonality (for example: more hours in winter, less in the summer).
Overtime will sometimes be required due to seasonal nature of the business.
Salary:
£10-£12.21 per hour probationary period depending on your age. Wage may rise depending on your output and any value that bring to the role.
