We're looking for an HR Compliance Advisor to join our HR Shared Services team based in Rushden.
Location: Rushden - hybrid working available, with 1-2 days per week in the Rushden office as required.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours is available if desired; just let us know when you speak to us.
What will you be responsible for?
As an HR Compliance Advisor, you'll work within the HR Shared Services team, supporting activities related to right to work and immigration across Kier, including employment screening such as DBS checks and security clearance. A key aspect of this role will be managing Kier's Home Office Licences and Skilled Worker sponsorship procedures, as well as developing and delivering right to work training for recruitment personnel.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
1. Providing guidance to the business on UK immigration enquiries and managing the ‘HR Compliance' queue on Oracle Service Cloud within SLAs, answering queries on immigration matters and seeking legal support when necessary.
2. Staying updated with Home Office legislative changes and ensuring responses and guidance documentation are aligned with current legislation.
3. Supporting recruiters, HRBPs, and hiring managers with Skilled Worker sponsorship requirements.
4. Understanding and following process maps and Local Working Instructions (LWIs), updating them as needed.
5. Processing certificates of sponsorship requests for visa holders, ensuring all documentation meets Home Office requirements.
6. Managing the Resident Permit expiry reminder process, obtaining updated right to work documentation by deadlines.

* Possess strong communication skills and high literacy standards, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
* Have exceptional attention to detail.
* Are confident using Microsoft Office applications and HR systems like Oracle.
* Can identify risks and provide feedback and recommendations promptly.
