Job Overview
To assist with the production, monitoring and packaging of high-quality craft beers.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Responsibility to ensure daily fermentation checks are supervised and monitored, while adhering to specific product profiles.
Working with the Head Brewer, and Brewers, to optimise and improve the fermentation profiles of all products.
Carrying out daily cellaring tasks, that include and are not limited to:
* Centrifugation and transferring
* Dry Hops, via Hop Doser, Hop Cannon, and traditional methods
* Infusions
* Carbonation
* Yeast Handling
* Fruit Additions
Weekly Sensory checks on all beers.
Preparation of Fermentation vessels and BBTs, including CIPs and purging.
Brew day assistance, and process assistance, with activities including but not limited to: brewing, ingredient preparation, grain handling, and yeast preparation.
Assisting with the operation and upkeep of equipment within the brew house area.
Steam boiler water analysis and treatment
Preparation of Beer for Packaging, to include but not limited to: fining preparation/addition, carbonation, CO2 monitoring, DO monitoring.
Packaging of beer into small pack, casks and kegs
Stock and cellar management via Breww software.
Regular Hygiene Practices – assist with regular chemical cleaning of vessels and brewing area to maintain good Brewing Area hygiene.
Compliance - to insure all regulatory and audit objectives met (COSHH, SALSA, Food Hygiene Level 2 etc). To include but not limited to ingredient tracking, brew variability tracking, gravity monitoring and chemical storage
Health & Safety – ensure up to date on all H&S procedures, work with chemicals responsibly, and operate all necessary equipment/machinery in a safe and efficient manner
Preparation of Orders for dispatch in a timely manner and assist with good Cellar Management Practices
