Role Overview
The Graduate Consultant will provide the perfect first step into a consultancy career in the rail sector. From day one you will be part of a team supporting senior consultants in delivering projects to clients.
Responsibilities
* Manage time across multiple projects and contribute at all phases from proposal preparation to delivery.
* Support senior consultants in delivering projects to clients and ensure high‑quality work with attention to detail.
* Liaise with clients and other consultants to deliver integrated project outputs.
* Acquire client management techniques and soft skills such as presentations, project management and people management.
Graduate Development Programme
Our two‑year programme supports personal and professional development via blended learning, core business and professional skills training, career workshops, networking, mentoring for professional registration and on‑the‑job experience.
Qualifications
* Graduated with at least a 2:1 in a master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Rail Systems or Systems Engineering.
* Must complete the application form in full and pass an online skill assessment.
* Preferred start date is September 2026.
* Interest in the rail sector.
* Desire to work on multidisciplinary projects.
* Aspiration to become a technical consultant and future leader.
* Strong interpersonal, client‑focused and hands‑on approach.
* Commitment to continuous self‑development.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Ability to work in a consultancy environment.
