The Role
Expert clinical practitioner providing comprehensive advice and support within a specialism, operating across all parts of NHS Lanarkshire and leading a team of Nurse Specialists.
The post holder will ensure a person centered approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.
To lead the development and implementation of a programme of clinical audit and research activity.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
2. Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
3. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
5. Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality.
6. Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in speciality and applying clinical judgement.
7. Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership.
8. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
9. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative
10. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
11. Working knowledge of basic information technology
12. A driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
13. Masters Degree in area of specialty &/or management
14. Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and CPD
15. Non-medical Prescriber
16. Clinical Assessment Skills Module
17. Previous experience of leading a nursing team within area of specialty
18. Previous experience of collaborating with multiple clinical teams including Acute Clinical Nurse Specialist Teams, GP Practice Teams and Community Nursing Teams
19. Previous experience of Service Development and Quality Improvement initiatives
20. Previous experience of providing education and training within area of specialty to clinical staff and patients / carers
21. Previous experience of delivering presentations and group education to clinical staff
22. Demonstrate proactive approach to service development and innovative ways of working
