Inspired by an engineering icon, Brabazon is a place that changes everything. Over the next 20 years, it will become the largest new urban centre in the South West.
What you'll do
We have an excellent opportunity for a proactive Project Manager to drive the delivery of off-parcel infrastructure, manage statutory adoption agreements, and lead the execution of utility contracts. You will ensure the timely, safe, and budget-compliant completion of the infrastructure projects, which will contribute to achieving quality and adoption targets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* identifying and managing project resources, including technical services and external consultants
* providing specialist input, particularly in structural and geotechnical areas, to support wider business units
* leading consultant teams and stakeholders to deliver project scope, along with managing fees, claims and variations
* overseeing the timely delivery of all design stages, ensuring alignment with programme milestones
* monitoring project progress and accelerating strategies when needed
* collaborating with internal and external teams to meet stakeholder expectations and project goals
* leading on tender processes, contract negotiations and administration
* developing and maintaining risk management strategies and risk registers
* ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
* reviewing and supporting supply chain contracts to ensure suitability
* coordinating logistics planning to meet operational and stakeholder needs
What you'll need
You will have previously worked as a Project Manager in the construction and property sectors. You will also have the following skills, experience and education to thrive in this exciting role:
* experience delivering adoptable infrastructure (highways, drainage, utilities and public open spaces) to regulatory standards
* strong experience in structural and geotechnical areas
* an understanding of the construction and property sectors, including financial controls, scheduling and stakeholder management
* a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, with additional project management or construction-related credentials
* problem-solving and analytical skills across planning, design, estimating, procurement and contract administration
* effective communication abilities with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage relationships and expectations
* a detail-oriented nature, with a focus on accurate site activity recording and contractor oversight
* a valid CSCS card
