We are working closely with local authority in Nottingham to assist with the appointment of a Payments Assistant, on a 6-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.26 - £17.14 per hour

Summary:

The Payments Assistant will support the team with day-to-day payment processing activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent communication across the service. The successful candidate will work within a small team environment and will be responsible for managing workloads effectively while using multiple systems throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

* Process payments accurately and efficiently in line with service procedures and deadlines
* Use multiple internal systems simultaneously to manage and update records
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
* Prioritise workloads effectively within a busy environment
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders within a small team setting
* Support the wider team with administrative and financial processing duties as required

Essentials:

* Experience working within a busy office environment
* Good IT literacy with confidence using Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K
