We are happy to consider both part - time and full-time applicants with a minimum of 23 hours per week .
This is a shift work ing role, across a 24/7 service including nights, weekends and bank holidays (12.5 hours typically from 07:30 – 20:00 or 20:00 – 07:30) .
Assist in the implementation of agreed plans of care alongside the wider team and in collaboration with service u sers.
Assist members of the wider team to set up and perform clinical procedures.
Ensure clinical areas remain clean, tidy and well stocked.
Following appropriate training, u ndertake clinical care including monitoring and recording vital signs, taking swabs, venepuncture, removing catheters and cannulas etc.
Support and teach parents the skills required to establish and maintain infant feeding.

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria. Applicants for the Band 3 Maternity Care Assistant roles must be able to evidence a minimum of 2 years' experience in the same role (Band 3 MCA within the NHS) to meet the salary requirements to qualify for sponsorship.
For this role it is essential that you have previous NHS or NHS primary care experience with a Care Certificate from an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation. Or that you are an internationally educated nurse/midwife/doctor who has worked in an acute NHS Trust within recent years with evidence of your degree verified by an ENIC report.
