KPI Recruiting are on the lookout for an FLT Clamp Driver for our client based in Congleton.
As an FLT Clamp Driver your working days and hours are:
* Monday- Friday
* 08:00- 16:30
The rate of pay as an FLT Clamp Driver is:
* £12.74p/h
The duties and responsibilities as an FLT Clamp Driver are:
* Unloading wagons of used waste bails
* Ensuring that the bails are safe and secure and not a risk yourself or anyone around
* Transport materials across warehouses, yards, or production areas
* Place goods in designated storage locations accurately
* Assist with stock control, scanning, and inventory systems
* Ensure correct stacking to avoid damage or instability
* Work closely with warehouse operatives and supervisors
* Carry out daily pre-use checks (brakes, hydraulics, clamp function, tyres)
* Ensure loads are secure but not damaged by excessive clamp pressure
* Follow site safety procedures and traffic management systems
* Maintain clear visibility and safe speeds, especially in tight spaces
* Report faults, near misses, or accidents promptly
The ideal candidate for an FLT Clamp Driver would need:
* A valid FLT (forklift) licence, typically from a recognised training body (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS in the UK)
* Clamp attachment certification or proven experience using clamp trucks
* Basic Health & Safety awareness training
* Experience in environments like warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing, or logistics
* Familiarity with handling non-palletised goods (e.g., paper reels, appliances, cartons)
* Basic IT or scanner skills for stock systems
* Warehouse experience (picking, packing, inventory)
* Good communication and teamwork skills
