Job Description:
ThePre-Sales Service Management ArchitectatDXC Technology UKplays a pivotal role in shaping and presenting IT service management (ITSM) solutions for Defence and Public Sector clients. This role requiresactive security clearance or eligibility and deep expertise inITIL v4, enabling the architect to design scalable, compliant, and value-driven service management architectures that support DXC’s strategic bids and proposals. Working closely with sales, bid teams, and delivery experts, the architect ensures solutions are aligned with DXC’s global delivery standards and tailored to meet UK government and Defence customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the design of ITSM solutions for proposals, bids, and RFP responses, ensuring alignment withITIL v4andUK Defence standards.
2. Collaborate with DXC sales, solution architects, and delivery teams to develop compelling, compliant service management offerings.
3. Translate customer requirements into tailored ITSM architectures, includingprocess models,tooling strategies, andgovernance frameworks.
4. Define and articulate theService Value System (SVS)andService Value Chaincomponents in solution designs.
5. Support client-facing workshops, discovery sessions, and presentations to gather requirements and showcase DXC’s capabilities.
6. Develop service management collateral including solution blueprints, process diagrams, and value propositions.
7. Ensure proposed solutions integrate with existing or planned ITSM platforms (e.g.,ServiceNow,BMC Remedy,Ivanti), with consideration for secure environments.
8. Contribute topricing models,service level definitions, andtransition plansfor Defence and Public Sector clients.
9. Stay current with industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging practices inITSM,Agile,DevOps, andcloud service managementwithin secure and regulated environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10. Proven experience inITSM architectureandpre-sales solution development, ideally within Defence or Public Sector.
11. Strong knowledge ofITIL v4 frameworkand practices.
12. ITIL v4 certification(Foundation or higher) required.
13. Experience supporting bids, proposals, and client engagements insecure or regulated sectors.
14. Familiarity with ITSM platforms and tooling strategies, especially insecurity-cleared environments.
15. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus oncustomer value,compliance, andbusiness outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
17. TIL v4 Managing ProfessionalorStrategic Leadercertification.
18. Experience incloud service managementand integration (AWS, Azure, GCP) in secure environments.
19. Exposure toISO/IEC 20000,COBIT, or other governance frameworks.
20. Experience inlarge-scale outsourcing,managed service proposals, andDefence procurement cycles.
21. Active UK Security Clearance(SC or DV) or eligibility to obtain clearance
